1. DEFINITION OF THE COMPETITION
DASK DOGAY, is organized for to document and present of Anatolia, to generalize and improved of nature photography .
DASK-DOGAY has organized since 1995 by DASK. The most important feature of the DASK-DOGAY is to be only one competition that all of the photographing, developing, choosing, assessment and awarding are made in the same place in 2-3 days.
DASK-DOGAY is organized in the different places of Anatolia in every year. The competitors run for to document of geographic features, historical and natural structures and the seasonal subjects of the racing area in an artistic sensibility.
On the first day of the competition, the marked slides are given to competitors. The competitors are taking a photo according to categories during the day. In the evening of the day the slides are collected and developed all of the night. In the morning of the second day, the developed slides are given back to the competitors. The competitors choose their frame according to categories. These frames are given to the jury. After the assessment of the jury, the award ceremony is made in the evening. In the morning of the third day, the scanning frames are given back to the competitors.
The main categories of the competition are Nature View, Macro Nature and Traditional Live. According to the features of the racing areas some categories are added like archaeology, history, birds, water, stone texture, houses etc.
DASK DOGAY are supported by Photographic Art Federation of Turkey.
2. THE TERMS OF JOINING It can be participated in DASK DOGAY as a competitor or as a viewer.
2.1. As a Viewer Every one who wants can participate as a viewer. The viewers also must register themselves for their security and they must do for regulations. The viewers can participate in the other activities paying a little fee, such as orienteering, cross country race, walking to know which animals live and which plants grow here.
2.2. As a Competitor Every one can participate this competition over 18 years old or under 18 with permission of her/his family except the members of organising committee and the jury. Applications can also be made on the day of competition.
The Necessary Documents to Join in Competition
a) Competition Fee The competition fee is announced on DASK web site. These fees can be paid during the first day of the competition or placed to the İş Bankası, Kızılay Branch of Ankara, account number is 4214-1453006 .

You can send this documents for information via fax, e-mail, postal service or cargo . The delays is not acceptable via postal service or cargo.
The originals of these forms must be given to the DASK DOGAY attendants at the registry desk before competition. If not, They can not participate in the competition and their entry fees are not given back. The last registry is at 12:00 on the first day of competition.
3. THE COMPETITION CATEGORIES
NATURE VIEW: a- The nature view is to document of the geographic, climatologic, geomorphologic and herbal characteristics of the competition area using suitable techniques and with an artistic comment. b- Human and things made by human, cultural plants and domestic animal must not fall into frame. c- The only UV and polarized filter and flash can be used. d- Every competitor join with maximum two frames. e- The best 3 frames and a mansion are awarded.
MACRO NATURE: a- The macro nature is to document of the biologic and geologic close-up characteristics of the competition area using macro photography techniques. b- Human and things made by human, cultural plants and domestic animal must not fall into frame. c- The only UV and polarized filter and flash can be used. It is prohibited to use background and interfere. d- Every competitor join with maximum two frames. e- The best 3 frames and a mansion are awarded.
TRADITIONAL LIVE: a- The traditional live is to document of the relation between culture, nature and human and folkloric assets with an artistic comment. b- Human and things made by human, cultural plants and domestic animal can fall into frame except camp field.. c- The only UV and polarized filter and flash can be used. d- Every competitor join with maximum two frames. e- The best 3 frames and a mansion are awarded.
OTHER CATEGORIES: They are the other characteristics of the competition area for example; archaeological fields, castle, moslem seminaries, local architecture, coastal life, sea shells, ironsmiths, fishermen, waves, despoilment of sea sides, bazaars, birds, gardens etc.
a- Human and things made by human can fall into frame. b- The only UV and polarized filter and flash can be used. c- Every competitor join with maximum two frames. d- The best 3 frames and a mansion are awarded.
SPECIAL AWARDS: The Jury and Organization Committee can give special award announced or not before competition.
PERFORMING AWARD: In every competition one competitor is rewarded by Performing Award who is placed with most frame.
4. GOING OF THE COMPETITION
4.1. The competitors coming to DASK DOGAY camp, primarily turn to Registry Desk.
a- They give filled up Entry Forms or fill them. b- They give their subscription documents of entry fees or they pay them. c- They give their Accepting of the Risk Forms or fill them.
4.2. DASK DOGAY Remembrance Packet and Attendance Document are given to the registered competitors. The entry fee includes one 36 exposures slide, developing of the slide and remembrance packet.
4.3. The marked slides are started to give to the competitors since 05:30. If anyone wants who can join until 12:00. * In evening of first day of the competition, the competitors give up their slides for developing. * The given slides are developed during the nights and they are given back in the morning of second day. * Every competitor select the frames for competition according the categories and gives them to the attendances for cutting and framing. * The frames come out to the Jury. * After the rating of the Jury, the award ceremony is made in outdoor or a closed place.
4.4 After the award ceremony the slides are scanned and they are given back to the competitors in the morning of third day.
5. RULES OF COMPETITION
5.1. Every one can participate in the competition except the members of Jury and Organization Committee.
5.2. The Competition Specification is approved when the competitors checked in. The competitors who break the Competition Specification eliminated. The competitors have to wear special competitor waist or cap/foulard given by Organization Committee
5.3. Only one competitor participate in the competition with own 36 exposures slide, no any competitor participate in the competition belong to other the competitors. A frame must be used only one category. In the case of going wrong of the slides, tighten in the machine and failing of the machine no new slide is given.
5.4. If any competitor takes idea from the members of Jury and Organization Committee about her/his frames during racing or electing , she/he eliminates.
5.5. The competitors must not go out of the competition field specified and declare to themselves. The frames taken from out of the specified competition field are not used to run. The competitors reach to competition field with their own facilities (on foot, any vehicle). DASK makes some organizations for touring of the competition field but it is not responsible for any hitch.
5.6. The competitors will not do harm to the environment and private properties. The produced wastes have to be carried in the litter bag then they are put them into litter bin or a litter bag in the camp. The competitors who put a risk of security of themselves and the other competitors, they irritatingly behave and go out of rules eliminated.
5.7. The competitors must take photo without do harm to the environment. If any one does harm natural texture, makes editing, violates of the traditional customs and shows unpleasant picture eliminated.
5.8. The all rating slides are given back to the competitors or persons are vested with their written permission in the morning of third day. The slides which were awarded and selected by DASK are kept is DASK archive. The copyrights of these slide belong to DASK. These slides can be used together with their photographer names in the presses, activities, promotion documents and they can used by our sponsors with the permission of DASK.
5.9. If any film is damaged because of undesired reasoning, entry fee may be given back with the decision of Organization Committee.
5.10. The Organization Committee can decide to cancel or postpone the competition totally or any part because of the conditions. In this case the entry fees are not given back. The Organization Committee can have to decide what happens.
5.11. If it is obligatory the Organization Committee is authorized to solve of uncertainties; change the specification, programme and the methods of rating and awarding.
6. RATING, AWARDING AND EXHIBITION
6.1. The Jury is full authorized about rating.
6.2. The award ceremony is made in the evening of second day of the competition. The rating slides are shown to competitors and viewers.
6.3. The rating slides fall into DASK web site ( www.dask.org.tr ) in an album after a few months. 7. ARRIVAL, CAMPING, PROGRAMME, ENTRY FEE AND COMMUNICATION
7.1. ARRIVAL: The competitors and viewers reach to competition area (DASK Camp Site) with their own facilities. The details of arrival and the road plan is notified before the competition. If an organization is made for collective transportation, it is announced .
7.2. CAMPING : The all competitors and viewers camp with their own facilities. The camping options are announced before the competition.
7.3. PROGRAMME : The details of the competition programme are announced before 1 month of the competition.
7.4. ENTRY FEE : The entry fees are announced before 3 months of the competition
7.5. COMMUNICATION : The announces are issued on the web site of DASK ( www.dask.org.tr ) or via E-Mail. Who wants to take our announces can subscribe dask news group ( dask-subscribe@yahoogroups.com ). For any answer of your questions ask ( dask@dask.org.tr )
